Most individuals feel overwhelmed with their daily duties, like working, going to school, taking care of family, shopping, or doing other responsibilities. Jogging is one of the best ways to increase your heart rate, burn fat, and lose weight. There is a common misconception that you have to run for miles to really be able to make a dent and work off excess pounds.

However, you do not have to run for hours to maintain your fitness and shape your body. If you can find one-quarter to one-fifth of an hour, you should be able to feel and notice a difference in the way you look and how much energy you have from day to day.

A great way to get the most out of your run is to make use of inclines. No matter how great of shape you are in, inclines and stairs will almost always make you feel out of breath and really work your muscles and system.

Start by warming up with a five minute jog; then, find a decent sized hill or inclined road that you can run up. Once you reach the top, walk for about a minute.

Doing so for fifteen to twenty minutes should work your heart just as well as an eight mile run, without taking the extra time and energy. Try to increase the amount of reps as you become stronger and can perform them in less time, about one or two more each week.

Making a home gym circuit is another way to increase your fitness and strength. You can start by walking or running around the block for about five to ten minutes, to warm your muscles and increase your heart rate.

Next, make use of dumbbells for arm exercises. You can find plenty of different ways to lift them online, according to the specific muscle group that you are hoping to work.

After that, do crunches for thirty seconds to one minute. If you wish, you can alternate the different positions in which you crunch; this will also give your abs and oblique muscles specific attention.

You can also keep sandwich bags full of low sodium lunch meats, like chicken and turkey, on hand for a protein enriched snack. Eating healthfully will only magnify the amount you lose from regular workouts.

The main thing to avoid is making excuses for yourself about why you cannot find the time to work out or eat healthfully; if you are mentally prepared and determined to do so, you will be able to make it work. Taking care of your body and becoming more toned and energetic can be simple!
