Having worked as an agony aunt for many years I know how hard it is to find a good agony aunt. My business used to be called askagonyaunt and I often had to advertise for staff to work with me for askagonyaunt, and always had problems getting people who were suitable to hire to work with me on askagonyaunt. There were always lots of people applying, usually women, saying they wanted to work on askagonyaunt,  but very few if any were any good. Many of them were deluded others were fakes. It is a scary thought that you would want to askagonyaunt and find that the person you ask is the wrong person.

My business askagonyaunt shut down when I retired years ago. Askagonyaunt was very popular for a long time.  Askagonyaunt was set up by me and run by me, when it became popular askagonyaunt was me and many staff working under me.  Askagonyaunt employed dozens of different agony aunts over the years.  One of the things about askagonyaunt was that you knew that the agony aunt was good,because I was very fussy.

Since retiring from askagonyaunt I have no dealings with such work.  But I like to look online to see if there are any agony aunts worth consulting if you have a problem.  Just because askagonyaunt is closed does not mean that people do not have problems.  I get emails every day from people who want to askagonyaunt and are upset that it has closed down. They ask me if we can open askagonyaunt again or if I can suggest somewhere safe to go to with their problems.  As askagonyaunt will not be opening again - ever - I looked online to find a site I can really recommend.

Searching online for something as good and as suitable as askagonyaunt took a long time.

There are a lot of sites that set themselves up as though they are askagonyaunts yet they cannot deliver the goods.  Many of them are fakes other are bored  housewives who are out of their depth!

As askagonyaunt will not be opening again I now tell people who want to consult an agony aunt that they should go to the site - askagonyaunt.com, which is run by an agony aunt of many years of experience.   Her name is Charlotte Craig, she is a bit older than me and very experienced, so I am surprised that she has set up askagonyaunt when she could have retired.  I do not know how many agony aunts work for askagonyaunt but I do know that you can consult Charlotte Craig herself.  This is quite something as most big agony aunts are out of reach of people and pass on all of their work to staff. She is affordable too.
